Sunset

This book was an experiment in making a concertina using mount board. The cover was a tissue paper and the inside a pastel paper. I found the lettering needed to be in acrylic as pasting the pastel paper onto the board made the paper damp enough for gouache to smudge. I made these in August during all the rain, when I really wanted to see the sun, so I used a bright pink tissue for the cover and some of my Japanese silk screened papers I had been saving to add highlights.
