The inspiration for this little book came about from a beautiful walk in the forest, the bluebells were out in all their glory like a carpet of blue. The books is a design from “The Art and Craft of Handmade Books” by Shereen Laplants. I chose recessed skewer bindings, hoping that it would give the effect of a forest. The papers I used were Canson blue and white cartridge. The cover paper I had bought from Lay Members’ Day last year in London. The lettering is done with a pointed nib using gouache and pastel borders, to finish I added beads with ribbons.
