Morag Bramley Draw two 8" diameter circles on patterned paper. Draw two similar further circles on paper on which you can write. I used insides of business envelopes. Stick each patterned paper to a plain piece. Divide the two finished circles by a light pencil and by using a protractor on the diameter of each into nine equal sections on the writing side. With a compass draw a 2" radius and a 3.25" radius circle inside each circle on the writing side. Then draw a nine-point star on each using the 3.25" radius circles. Write what you wish inside the star and then cut out the areas between the points of the star. Do not cut into the area of the circumference where you drew a 3.25" radius circle. Then fold the circles in half and sew together at the central perpendicular diameter line. Put a ribbon loop at the top for a hanger and put a weight or a big bead at the bottom to make it hang properly. Hang up on a hook and arrange the sections to hang evenly. I am afraid that this is a mobile rather than a book, but it was fun to make.
