This concertina book is in a slipcase.  The blue Copperplate lettering goes in two directions to echo the sentiment of Emerson’s words "Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail".  The Chirogami paper has a design of wavy "paths" and a little jewel is inset on the cover and the slipcase to accent the paper’s gold flecks.

This quote was on a birthday card I had kept for years.  I like the challenge of trying new things - like the quote - and this is my first slipcase and inset.  I wanted the book to be appealing and suggest there is a little "gem" of a quote inside.
